Paydaş Eğitim Kültğr ve Sanat Derneği organized the Lotus Duo Flute Violin Concert event within the scope of the 10th anniversary of its establishment. Paydaş Education and Culture and Arts Association established in 2014, aims to add a new synergy with the projects and events it produces from education to art, from tradition to innovative approaches, with the ties it has established in local to national and international areas. For this purpose, the Association attaches great importance to bringing together the people of Zonguldak with the organizations he created with the contributions of local governments. In this context, many music lovers attended the “Lotus Duo Flute Violin Concert” organized with the support of Zonguldak Municipality Cultural Center. In the open-air concert where nature meets the universal tones of music, the audience had the opportunity to listen to the beautiful compositions of the master composers of classical music. In his speech, the president of the association, Önder Küçüköner, said that the association He stated that they were happy to bring together such a valuable event with art lovers and thanked faculty members Emel Doğan Uğurlu and Gonca Yerlikaya.
LOTUS DUO
Working as a lecturer in the field of Flute and Violin at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University State Conservatory, Lecturer. Assist. Emel Doğan Uğurlu and Lect. Assist. Gonca Yerlikaya have organized many concerts in and around Zonguldak since 2011 and have taken part in many artistic activities.
In 2023, the duo founded the Lotus Duo chamber music group and with this name, they won the first place in the Baroque Music category in the International Debussy Music Competition, the first place in the Duo Performance category and the highest score of 96-100 points among all category winners participating in the competition and became the season winner of the competition.
In 2024, they were selected for the 37th “International de Musique Universitaire Belfort” festival in Belfort, France, and became the only group from Turkey to be accepted to the festival, and performed the Flute-Violin sonatas of French composer Joseph Bodin de Boismortier at the festival on May 18 and May 19, 2024.
