Question: Could you briefly tell us about your profession and area of expertise?
Answer:
I work as a writer in the fields of literature, art, and occasionally music. In addition, I give lectures at schools and universities and collaborate with galleries and museums to promote contemporary art. My poetry books and novels have been published.
Question: What have been the most important experiences you have gained throughout your career?
Answer:
The scholarships I received in Turkey and the lectures I delivered at universities in Istanbul, Budapest, Trieste, Wrocław, and L’Aquila are among the most important experiences of my career.
Question: What are the main goals of your work and what motivates you?
Answer:
My main goal is to complete every novel, poem, or text on fine arts and share it with readers. I am motivated every day because I can learn something new each day.
Question: What makes your perspective on your field unique?
Answer:
Thanks to my knowledge of multiple languages, I am among the few writers who express themselves through different languages. I interpret modern art using knowledge and cultural insight gained from various languages. I do not believe there is anyone who applies this approach as systematically as I do.
Question: What are your future plans and current projects?
Answer:
This summer, my new novel about Istanbul will be published. I am also working on two additional novels. I will continue my work in promoting contemporary art. Furthermore, I hope that a composer will transform my poems into new musical works.
Question: What advice would you give to idealistic young people who want to build their future in the best possible way?
Answer:
Making a living as a writer is not easy at all. However, you must follow your own voice. This approach has worked for me so far. If it stops working one day, I may consider different paths; but at the moment, I do not think it is necessary.
