Different Minds, Stronger Worlds.
Neurodiversity Pride Day is a global movement celebrated every year on June 16 in more than 40 countries since 2018. This year, we were proud to be part of the celebration in Türkiye.
We started the day with icebreaker games that helped us get to know one another and build connections. Then, we brought this event to life through the collaboration of the Neurodiversity Foundation, Paydaş Education, Culture and Arts Association, KOBDER, and Karatay Equestrian Club—because great things grow when we come together.
The children met the horses with the guidance of our instructor Sibel Kahveci and her team. Riding, feeding, touching, and interacting with the horses—each experience was small in scale but meaningful in impact.
Meanwhile, families explored breathing techniques under the guidance of our instructor Hilal Steinmetz, taking time to pause, feel, and simply be present in the moment. 🌿
At the end of the day, we listened to families’ needs and ideas for future events, because this journey is shaped together with them.
Happy Neurodiversity Pride Day!
