As part of the Youth Exchange project titled “Waterworld”, which is sponsored by the Danish National Agency, our Stakeholder Education and Culture Association members participated in the project activities in Denmark on 12-24 June. Furkan Sadıklar, one of the participants gave the following information about the project: “in Waterworld project held by Grenaa Produktionsskol in Grenaa; fun and educational activities were held to raise awareness about global warming, to teach the functional aspects of societies and the duties of individuals in the society and to introduce different cultures to the participants from Denmark, Turkey, Romania and Macedonia. In the event that the participants worked in groups and made raft; while the participants aimed to work as a group, to become a community and to realize that they are individuals with responsibilities within the community, the idea behind this event reminded the participants that the water is rising due to global warming and the land is getting smaller every year. Personally, I think that participating in this project gives me skills that I can not gain at school and that I can use more effectively in my business life, daily life and in the future. For example, during the construction of the raft, I learned to act in a coordinated way while working with my teammates that I have always considered working as a group was unnecessary, in my opinion, the increase in the number of people you worked with meant a decrease in success rate, but when I saw how effective an efficient group work made things, I realized that it was a great opportunity for me to participate in the project. It was also very enjoyable to be in contact with people with different cultures and learn about their culture during the project. ” The Project Coordinator of Paydaş Education Culture and Art Association, Özlem Kaplan thanked the young members for their success in representation.
